Title: Practical Ministry III – Pastoral Theology
Course No.: 15PMIN
Description: Each student who wishes to earn a Level 2 Ministerial Studies Certificate must enroll in Practical Ministry Courses. Practical Ministry 3 - Pastoral Theology will address the specific theological issues and challenges that Pastors face in church ministry. The course is intended to prepare each student for Pastoral leadership in the local church. The topics for this course include: Pastoral Ministry and Care, Pastoral Counseling, and Conflict Resolution. Practical Ministry courses also give ministry candidates practical, hands-on training that will develop excellence in ministry. During Practical Ministry 3 students will be assigned to internship positions of regular preaching, teaching, counseling, discipleship and/or evangelism in order to prepare them for leadership placement. Each student will regularly meet with an assigned supervisor for instruction, accountability and feedback. This course fulfills requirements for both the Level 1 Biblical Studies & Theology Certificate and Level 2 Ministerial Studies Certificate.
